Short CV

At present, I am a working on my PhD dissertation at the University of Vigo under the supervision of Javier Pérez Guerra and Paula Rodríguez. My research topic focuses on diachronic and diatopic variation in the pronominal system of English, with special reference to the factors that determine the use of different pronominal forms. I hold a BA in English Studies from the University of Oviedo (2021), where I was awarded the Premio Fin de Grado (Bachelor’s Degree Award). My BA thesis was entitled “The Evolution of Agent Prepositions in Passive Structures: A Corpus-Based Study”. In 2021, I was also awarded a Beca de Colaboración (Collaboration Scholarship) by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Vocational Training to conduct research on variation in English at the Department of English, French and German Philology of the University of Oviedo under the supervision of Paula Rodríguez Puente. I also completed an MA in Teacher Training at the University of Oviedo (2022) with a dissertation on the pedagogical applications of film and theatre in the teaching of English as Foreign Language to Spanish secondary school students. In November 2022 I joined the LVTC group on a grant (FPU) from the Spanish Ministry of Universities to work on my PhD.
