The Faculty of Philology and Translation is facing great challenges, as the current university system demands a series of actions and tasks that were unthinkable not so long ago. It is a modern faculty with its complexities and difficulties that aims to bring the immense work and research it carries out to society; in short, to show the community, both inside and outside the University of Vigo, the need for the studies it offers and the relevance of a Faculty of Philology and Translation in southern Galicia, at a time when it is necessary to face multiple changes and when linguistic and cultural studies must continue to play an important role.
In this regard, the faculty has a clear commitment to quality, excellence, and continuous improvement, both in the center and in the degrees it offers. It thus recognizes the importance of implementing a collectively approached strategy that takes into account the environment and the main challenges for the future.
