Dunha banda, mulleres vítimas de violencia de xénero, tanto xordas e xordocegas, como inmigrantes e refuxiadas, que non falan a lingua ou linguas do país no que se atopan, e doutra, intérpretes, profesionais da xustiza e outros axentes sociais que desenvolven o seu labor coas primeiras, son os dous colectivos nos que centra o seu traballo o proxecto Justisigns2. O consorcio de persoas expertas de España, Irlanda, Bélxica e Reino Unido que integra o proxecto Eramus+, baixo a coordinación de Intersource Group, céntrase en mellorar as interaccións das vítimas con diferentes axentes que traballan con elas, e é que, segundo explican as docentes e investigadoras da UVigo Maribel del Pozo e Maruxa Cabeza, “son moitos os problemas detectados na comunicación entre esas vítimas e as persoas que as atenden e moitos deles son debidos á falta de formación en violencia de xénero dos e das intérpretes que interveñen, e tamén á falta de formación sobre como traballar con intérpretes por parte das e dos axentes”. Xunto a Del Pozo e Cabeza, os docentes e investigadores Silvia Pérez Freire e David Casado Neira e a estudante de doutoramento Iria Seijas Pérez, completan a representación da UVigo neste proxecto, no que tamén participan a Heriot Watt University de Escocia e o Trinity College de Dublin.

Financiado polo programa Erasmus+, con preto de 400.000 euros, Justisigns2 conta, tamén, como socios con HfH (University of Teacher Education in Special Needs) de Suiza, o Dublin Rape Crisis Center e a An Garda Síochána (Ireland’s National Police and Security Service).

Equality Label

The Equality Label has been created to make the effort made by many in our University, who fight everyday to research, teach, transfer, manager and produce feministic and from a gender point of view scientific knowledge visible, and publicly and institutionally acknowledged. This initiative aims to acknowledge the work made by centres, schools and faculties in the field of a real and effective equality between men and women promotion, and, in this way, achieve a more human, equality and fair university.

The Faculty of Philology and Translation achieved the Equality Label on September 24, 2021.

Centre certified by FIDES-AUDIT

The Faculty of Philology and Translation designed a Quality Guarantee System in collaboration with the Quality Area of the University of Vigo, following the guidelines of the programme FIDES-AUDIT.

The ACSUG (Agency for Quality Assurance in the Galician University System) issued a positive evaluation of the design of the centre Quality Guarantee System on the 26th of April, 2010. Later, on the 7th of October, 2014, the ACSUG issued as positive the certification report of the implementation of the Quality Guarantee System in the centre.This certification has been renewed on 10/11/2022.
