A reforma dos tres graos que se imparten na facultade, a certificación do centro e a posible implantación dun grao aberto. Estes son os tres grandes retos aos que se vai enfrontar o novo equipo decanal da Facultade de Filoloxía e Tradución, un equipo liderado polo catedrático de Literatura española José Montero Reguera, elixido este martes novo decano do centro por 54 votos a favor, 12 en contra e 11 en branco, entre eles os do alumnado, que decidiu non tomar partido e deixar a elección en mans do profesorado e do persoal de administración e servizos. “Temos diante de nós moito traballo por facer, moitas tarefas enriba da mesa, incluíndo o día a día dunha facultade grande, complexa e soa no eido das humanidades en Vigo”, recalcou o xa novo decano.

“Queremos sacar adiante os procesos de reforma de graos que temos enriba da mesa, xestionar o día a día dun centro grande coas súas complexidades e dificultades, e, sobre todo, por medio do diálogo e do respecto, amosar a nosa vontade de facer chegar á sociedade o moito traballo e investigación que facemos; en definitiva, amosar á nosa contorna, dentro e fóra da nosa Universidade, a necesidade dos nosos estudos e dunha Facultade de Filoloxía e Tradución no sur de Galicia”, recalcou Montero.

Equality Label

The Equality Label has been created to make the effort made by many in our University, who fight everyday to research, teach, transfer, manager and produce feministic and from a gender point of view scientific knowledge visible, and publicly and institutionally acknowledged. This initiative aims to acknowledge the work made by centres, schools and faculties in the field of a real and effective equality between men and women promotion, and, in this way, achieve a more human, equality and fair university.

The Faculty of Philology and Translation achieved the Equality Label on September 24, 2021.

Centre certified by FIDES-AUDIT

The Faculty of Philology and Translation designed a Quality Guarantee System in collaboration with the Quality Area of the University of Vigo, following the guidelines of the programme FIDES-AUDIT.

The ACSUG (Agency for Quality Assurance in the Galician University System) issued a positive evaluation of the design of the centre Quality Guarantee System on the 26th of April, 2010. Later, on the 7th of October, 2014, the ACSUG issued as positive the certification report of the implementation of the Quality Guarantee System in the centre.This certification has been renewed on 10/11/2022.
